Booking & visits

How do I book?

Use the booking form to tell us what you need and, if you would like a visit, the days and times that suit you. We will review it and be in touch as soon as we can to agree an arrival window.

You can also call or WhatsApp 07840 896531.

Can I just ask for advice before booking anything?

Yes. The 15-minute technical consultation is free, by phone or video call, and there is no obligation to book a visit afterwards. It is a good way to check what will work in your home before you buy, for example whether a smart lock will fit your door.

How long does a visit take?

On-site tech support and diagnostics covers up to 45 minutes. Installations vary with the job, so ask when you book and we will give you a realistic idea. Everything is tested before we leave.

What happens if you cannot fix it?

If we cannot work out the root problem, you pay nothing. The one exception is a small £25 diagnostic fee, which applies only if we find a hardware fault that needs replacing.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation is free up to 1 hour before your slot. Late cancellations or no-answers incur a £10 fee.

Do you fit wired doorbells or do mains wiring?

No. We only fit battery-powered doorbells and cameras, and we do not carry out mains wiring. If you are unsure which type suits your home, the free consultation is a good place to start.

Can you fix things remotely?

Some problems on Windows desktops and laptops can be fixed remotely using a tool such as Microsoft Quick Assist. We will arrange a date and time to connect to your computer and try to fix the issue. You start the session and can end it at any time, and we will never ask for your passwords or bank details.

The full £45 charge applies where a fix is provided, and payment is due after the fix by bank transfer. We will send the bank details with confirmation of the cost. If we cannot fix it, you pay nothing.

We do not currently offer remote help for Macs, but we can arrange a site visit. Remote help is also not suitable for smart devices, doorbells, locks or Wi-Fi problems, which need an on-site visit.

Prices & payment

How much does it cost?

Prices are fixed and agreed before we start:

  • Doorbell or camera installation: £50 for the first device, then £30 for each extra device on the same visit
  • Smart lock installation: £50
  • Smart lighting setup: £25 per room
  • Wi-Fi optimisation and dead zone fixes: £45
  • On-site tech support and diagnostics: £45, for up to 45 minutes
  • 15-minute technical consultation: free

You can also see everything in the services and prices section.

When and how do I pay?

Payment is taken once the work is complete. If we visit your address, you can pay on the day by card, cash or bank transfer.

If a fix is done completely remotely, we will send you the bank details along with confirmation of the cost, and you pay by bank transfer.

Is there a call-out or travel charge?

No, we do not normally charge for travel. If you are right at the edge of our area, we will talk it through with you before booking, so there are no surprises.

Do you charge for parts?

Any small items we supply, such as cables, are charged at cost with zero markup.

Buying the device

Do I need to buy the device before you visit?

Yes. You buy the device yourself, so it is ready on the day. You can search for it yourself and buy it from wherever you like, or we can send you links to specific products. Our free guides compare the main options if you want help choosing.

Some links we share are affiliate links, so we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. You never have to use them.

Can you buy the device for me?

We do not buy devices up front. The only things we supply ourselves are small items such as cables, which are charged at cost with no markup.

Which devices can you install and set up?

We can install and set up most popular smart home devices, including doorbells and cameras from Ring, Google Nest, Eufy and Arlo, smart locks from Yale and Ultion (on UK multipoint doors), and smart lighting from Philips Hue, LIFX and Govee.

If your device is not listed, get in touch and we will tell you whether we can help. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of these brands. All brand names belong to their respective owners.
